Nathan Miller, Manager (Contact)
Mr. Miller is a manager with K&M’s commercial and transaction advisory practices, and he is an economics and finance professional who specializes in energy infrastructure, including IPP and PPP contract structures and non-recourse project finance. Mr. Miller has provided financial modeling, due diligence, and transaction support for both the “buy” and “sell” sides of IPP transactions, and he has advised a wide range of clients from government agencies and multilateral development institutions to utilities, project sponsors, and private equity investors. His experience includes financial modeling and market analysis for 14 IPP projects totaling 2,800 MW across a range of technologies: solar PV, simple and combined cycle gas-fired plants, steam cycle systems, reciprocating diesel engines, biomass gasification, geothermal energy, and waste-to-energy. Prior to joining K&M, Mr. Miller was a consultant for an economic advisory firm in Washington, DC, specializing in water and power infrastructure, and he worked in fixed asset appraisals and industrial supplies in Los Angeles, CA. He holds an MA with honors in energy and international finance from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and a BA with honors in international relations and economics from Pomona College.
Peter J. Solano, Senior Associate
Mr. Solano has been with The Dorado Group since its inception. Mr. Solano is a business professional with significant experience with IPP’s in South America and the Colombian energy market. In his role as analyst Mr. Solano has led numerous due diligence processes, managed multi-million dollar budgets, participated in several M&A and bid process deals in South America, and provided day to day financial services for the home office. He is well versed in financial modeling and has strong analytical skills.
Alex Selowsky, Analyst
Mr. Selowsky is an analyst with K&M’s commercial and transaction advisory practices, where he specializes in economic and financial analysis for energy infrastructure projects. Prior to joining K&M, Mr. Selowsky worked for the structured finance practice of a solar PV investment firm in Washington DC, where he provided financial analysis of debt, equity, and tax equity investments in solar PV facilities throughout the US. In addition, he has conducted economic and policy analysis in the energy sectors of various countries for a leading environmental think tank. He holds an MS in Civil and Environmental Engineering with a focus in renewable energy and a BA in Economics, both from Stanford University.
Leah Danville, Admin/Business Development Associate
Ms. Danville is a communications and public relations specialist with extensive domestic and international experience. Before joining K&M Advisors, Ms. Danville spent two years in Malaysia as a Fulbright Fellow where she developed experiential lesson plans and community ties as an English Teaching Assistant in two Malaysian cities. Ms. Danville has lived in three continents and traveled to over 35 countries and uses her extensive travel experience to facilitate cross-cultural communication that enhances organization’s presence both domestically and internationally. Ms. Danville got her B.S.C. in Public Relations and History from the University of Miami and spent a semester studying in Barcelona, Spain through the University of New Haven.
