Beacon Services is developing a 2.6GW behind-the-meter gas fired power plant with BESS power supply for their Westline project. Beacon is engaging with K&M to provide on demand technical and commercial advisory service to support this development. K&M Advisors’ services include: reviewing pre-FEED and developing functional specs for PPA; reviewing draft PPA and working with the legal team to arrive at a bankable version; supporting PPA negotiations or competitive procurement of an IPP and supporting EPC discussions; and supporting negotiations and competitive procurement. To support this work, K&M prepared a deterministic reliability model to dive deep into how the proposed RECIP+BESS solution achieves 99.9 or 99.999% reliability at least cost.
