Washington, DC – K&M Advisors LLC, a Dorado Group company and a leading engineering and financial advisory firm, recently announced the continuation of a strategic partnership with Samra Electric Power Company (SEPCO)—a company established by the Ministry of Energy under the Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan—to add a 70 MW steam cycle to convert Phase IV of the Samra Thermal Power Station to a combined cycle system.

K&M signed a new contract with SEPCO for the role of Owner’s Engineer on the construction of the required facilities. The Phase IV Add-on Combined Cycle includes a Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG), steam turbine, and the necessary Balance of Plant (BOP) and auxiliary equipment.

K&M will provide consulting services for developing Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) tender documents, organizing competitive bidding, assisting with EPC contract negotiations, reviewing detailed designs, and overseeing the activities of the selected EPC Contractor during project construction and commissioning. The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2017.

SEPCO is the second largest electricity generator in the Kingdom of Jordan. The Samra Thermal Power Station is operated with the most modern technology that ensures the highest availability, reliability, and efficiency to keep a safe and healthy environment according to international standards.

K&M has extensive experience as Owner’s Engineer successfully assisting SEPCO, power utilities, and private developers in Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Middle East, and North America to complete projects on-time, on-budget, and to the proper specifications. K&M has assisted with the construction of thermal and renewable power plants with a total capacity in excess of 12,000 MW.

“We are pleased to have been selected by SEPCO to continue working with them, developing projects that provide energy solutions to meet the reliability, efficiency and affordability needs of their customers,” stated Alfonso Guzman, President of K&M Advisors LLC.
